Discover Ginkgo

Discover Ginkgo

Ginkgo is a plant, traditionally used in Chinese medicine.

Ginkgo can help prevent the onset of several health problems as it helps improve blood circulation. Improved blood flow paired with the anti-inflammatory properties of Ginkgo has the ability to reduce cognitive decline. This decreases the risk of illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and dementia.

It can also help improve the symptoms of mental health conditions, including anxiety and depression.

Free radicals are formed during cellular processes and can cause cell damage which is part of the ageing process. Ginkgo also contains anti-oxidants which means it helps to protect the body’s cells from free radical damage.

There are many other potential benefits of ginkgo. For example, it may reduce the symptoms of inflammatory illnesses such as asthma.

At The Mews Practice, ginkgo is given to patients in drip form by one of our GPs. The drip lasts about 20 minutes, and you can book by calling us on 01483 452555.
